carbon (cheper, already balanced and sharpened, and if you break one, they are cheap to replace)

Usually around 20-30 minutes because I left off the throttle once in a while.

Klaben, I threw in a pair of epic intense 19t motors in my villain, because my stock 540's burned up. I think they are faster than the stock 540's but I'm talking about the villain IV way back in the day. They were 30 turns, not the 20 turn stingers. I'd acutally say save some money and pick up an decent ESC and a couple of low turn motors. 12 or so then the thing will rip thats for sure.

I get say, 20 minutes a full run out of a pair of GP3300's I have.. I do go WOT quite a while and then some not. But more often than so, They do last a while but again I'm not running anything really power demanding.

I have a couple of jeti 600's and I like them. They support up to 60 amps, I'm using one of them to run a 700 Johnson 18v motor it has had 18 cells on the ESC, says it can do up to 30 I believe, which is *quite* a bit. So just figure out a good 12 turn motor that has a max amp load under 30. There is a ESC on OSE which supports 90 amps, which would give you 45 amps for each motor which is quite a bit.. With that, you could probably run twin 700bb's. :-D

As for the motors, I'm not sure, sorry.

you mean this one?

http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=rch-vic1032

that victory esc is proably the best brushed esc out there.....waterproof, watercooled, up to 32 cells, 90 amps continuous, and it even has a 450amp suge current rating.....this esc is bulletproof as ive heard many times.....Andy stopped producing these esc's too, so i would get one before they are gone...

Know what guys.. I say just convert the thing to a single drive and drop in a 700 or a BL and well you'll be definately on your way to be honest... Twin motors doesnt mean faster.. I just realized that myself the other day that I didnt really understand that concept. If it was true, then dragsters, indy cars, etc would have 2, 3, 4 motors but thats not how it works.... rgr.

well if u put one out drive on the villain and one motor it will probaly take alot longer to get off plain.
the whole point of the villain is dual motor design for fast take off and stability on rough water.

Right i know, but if you puta a 700 or a good bushless, it will definately take off. I have a 28" on a 700 and the acceleration is definately way beyond the villain.. and its very stable in rough water, i've run it in foot waves and such, never flipped it. (cen grey thunder) But again its kind of a different class.

i would never convert my villain to a single drive i bought the villain because of the dual drives. i just want a fast set of motors that will work with my stock esc that has a limit of 19 turns.

That chameleon is a good motor -- You will definitely need cooling though, because on my boat, the things got super hot, but again it is pretty old, so who knows if i upgrade to a newer ESC it won't work so hard. I like my Epic Intense though. I got the pair of 'em for $40, off tower.. I had a coupon there that was like $30 off 70 or something... I think it's pretty good but I am looking for a jeti 600 on ebay for cheap and maybe a graupner 600bb, twin setup that.. If it fits, or the hottest 550 sized the Jeti's can handle.

On a side note -- I missed an auction for two jeti 600's that sold for $50!!! I'm pissed about that now. I wasnt payin attention to the time when it expired, so i missed it by like 2 hours.. *sigh* []

anyone every thought of going crazy and running twin 700's. Switch to direct drive and you could figure out the cooling, would be tight. Use lipo's on whatever is the equivalent of 14 cells. As for drives...........[:-]

would be freakin nuts though.

I realize it's extreme, but come on, the hull is big enough. You put some weight and serious power in that hull and my hypothesis is fastest villain ever.
