RE: Aeromarine Titan build
And that is part of the reason why..
Prop torque is however the largest
I did not get the chance to make the change to the strut position so 1 deg was needed.
The new Rio 51 on the other hand has in my opinion the right strut position for its application.

RE: Aeromarine Titan build
Well the Titan is done for the exception of painting the windshield on . No fancy paint job on this boat ! I am going to run her tomorrow , probably around lunch time unless I can sneek out of the office earlier! I am going to have to mod the drive to get more ajustment out of it . I am negative on the trim . I tried to get the strut to the neutral point but it won't budge.[:@] . Well here are the pics . One pic is my next project that needs to get done ! I keep putting it off for other things! So the hull will be going to the paint shop for an updated bud light paint scheme ! She will pretty much sit on the shelf once painted and put back together !I'll try and get a vid up on the Titan as soon as I get the bugs worked out of her !Also my friend wanted to help out so one of the many stickers we have from aftermarket parts from our atv's he decided to stick one on the radio box .
I am catching hell uploading photos . If I do 1 or 2 photos they upload , more than 2 at a time it says server cannot be found ! Well if this isn't a terd in the punch bowl!!![:'(]

I like these hulls alot. I would like to build a boat. Right now there is one of these on e- with a gear box and decent paintjob. It looks like it might go for a reasonable price. There is also a really nice one with a awesome paintjob at swapshop. It's black with silver vapor flame thingies on it and a silver windshield. These hulls must come stock with the carbon inside the hull?

I believe to help you chine walk you should have installed the rudder a little further down the transom to be deeper in the water. A long rudder never hurt

Yes the hulls come stock witht the carbon inside . What type of trans does the one on ebay have in it ? Right now these hulls are 10% off for a new hull !

RE: Aeromarine Titan build
Well I got out of the office today for a few hours and went to the river to run the titan ! Wicked fast , a lot faster than the sv . I am going to put gps on it this weekend ( I know some will want the clocked top speed !) It still has a lot of chine walk but I was able to open her up by slightly (very slightly) turning right while wide open and it kept the boat from chine walking ! I can drive her in a straight line wide open but it is hard to drive to keep the least amount of chine walk , a lot of small rudder control to ride her steady ! I just got done modding the drive to get some more trim . I now have about 1 degree positive trim I will run her tomorrow again . I checked the rudder and I have about 1.75" to 2" of rudder in the water wide open . I also drilled out the water pickup in the rudder to get a better flow . I noticed today the motor was getting hot and my water flow was not good . The rudder pickup had it restricted some .

RE: Aeromarine Titan build
I didn't even bid on it. I allready ordered a SV that is suppose to be in tomorrow. I wouldn't have posted it if I whanted it for myself. If I didn't allready order the SV I would have bid on this or the one on the OSE SS. There is another complete boat on there I really like also for about the same price as a SV. Oh well, I'm just excited to get my first real fiberglass boat. I can't wait even though it's winter and the water is froze. But I'll have plenty of time to make all the prepping and upgrades I've been reading about. I'm on like post #90 of the Supertune your SV thread. Anyway sorry to ramble on about stuff not pertaining to your thread. Good luck with the Titan, post some vids.

Hey don't worry about rambling ! You will enjoy the sv . It is a good boat , Mine was good until I smashed it up ! I was going to get another sv hull but I could not find one , so I order a titan! Well I ran the titan today and it ran sweet since I got some pos trim ! I had to order some tabs from offshore electrics . I couldn't find all my tabs , the aeromarine tabs I have are too big . I also got the windsheild painted on . I am going to gps it this weekend and try some lipos in her ! I will see if I can get a vid up of her running !

Thats a great looking boat. The Supervee hardware looks really good on it too. Its amazing what you can do with a 45A speed control and the Supervee motor. I may just have to build one in the near future.

RE: Aeromarine Titan build
Alright I am getting a vid tomorrow ! I did a little prop work to the x448 and picked up some speed . I ran it for a minute last night in my pond . Wicked fast ! I sent the boat airbourne ! She took off did a backflip and landed upside down and slid out the pond about 12ftfrom the edge of the water the boat was unharmed . A few scratches on the cowling ! Keep in mind this is the stock motor and esc from the sv27 and running on two 4200 nimh packs and the titan hull is 29"L X 10" W . I may run it in a minute and put the gps on it ! I wanted to run today but the wife had other plans and then I had an errand to run when I got done with the wife ! Anyways I still have alitle chine walk but when my tabs come in I have a solution to eleminate the chine walk !

slivic003..
Good success on the Titan models. I’m running a Titan 33. Your pic. is cool.[8D]
I'm sure I have the same carbon fiber inlay.. You will need it at the speeds your trying to run.[sm=thumbup.gif]
I also encounter chime walk. To correct this I moved the trims outward and adjusted the prop upward (created a larger roster tail). It seemed to helped.
