Default Need help with imperial

Hi i am from australia so we use the metric system, i understand inches and everything its just that this confuses me on how long the solid shaft is (follow link) any help would be greatly appreciated

it means the solid shaft is 3 inches + 1/8 of an inch=7.9375cm
