Are you able to measure the motor shaft and flex shaft for me as well? Just need to know what to order that will fit. That would be great!
I am going to put my 75A ESC in here and try 4S again to see how long the motor will last[X(], I will also see if my LHS has a smaller prop.

I can measure it up tonight.
Im just taking a wild guess on the prop size here. Im pretty new to the hobby but it would make sense.
Now I need to find a good line on batteries. I was on E bay looking and Im not paying $25 to ship 2 little batteries. Know of anyplace good?
Im looking for 2200 Mah 20-25C 3s 11.1V

You can try the 2200 but I am getting larger ones like 4000 or so, lots of room in there and runtime will not be very short and pack will not be hot. What brand of packs you like? Send me an e-mail and I will see what I can offer you. [email protected]

Yes I ran 3S 2070mah pack and got about 3min give or take, I will time it the next time out to be exact. My opinion is if you have those packs already try it but if you have to buy some get something bigger, besides if you upgrade the motor then you will need bigger packs anyway.

Oh I wish I saw that sooner! lol I guess that motor would be 28mmx48mm like a Feigao 380 S motor? Or 58mm long perhaps, I will e-mail them, I may just order a couple of these boats and try them.

If I were to do it again I would get the race spec version from here... http://cgi.ebay.com/25-deep-vee-kit-...742.m153.l1262 I think the main problem is the vibe issure which adds to the motor temp problem but yes the only issues I have with the boat so far is the vibes and motor temp, motor gets so hot you don't dare touch it, I burnt my skin bad just touching it for a split second... sizzle sizzle [X(]
even melted the epoxy on the mount. I am going to upgrade my flex shaft and perhaps try the stock motor again to see if it helps the temp but will get a new motor anyway. Every place seems to be roughly the same, some places just offer different items, depends on what you want. I still say go with slightly bigger Lipos though but that is just me. Perhaps with a good working setup the 2200 will be fine.... dunno.

I dont really have the time or knowledge to build it so I was looking at an ARTR, what size are the mounting holes on the mount? Would a 540 motor fit straight on?
Im not after out and out speed, racing it just some fun before I go to uni, is this going to fit the bill? Or am I better off getting the jollymotor or something else?

You would have to figure out a new mount or use the one off the race spec version, you will still have to cut out some of the rails on this version to get that mount in though, I am going to get one of those mounts. If this is your first boat I would not get it until all the issues are sorted, I would go Jolly or SV27, thats just my opinion though. This boat does not work right out of the box, at least my two do not.

Hopefully towards the end of the month I can get mine in the water. need batts and receiver still.

yea going to leave the origonal mount there but put a 3mm alloy plate on one side to strenghten it up .if u drill holes for the 540 there isnt going to be much material between new and old holes

More measurements:
Motor Shaft: .125"/3.175mm
Flex Shaft: 4mm/.157"
Space between runners: Appears to be 44/45mm cant get in to measure it so had to eye it.
Please not the motor mount IS slotted. There are washers on it also. Allows you some flexibility.

Heres a picture of the Flex shaft with the bent square end. I was able to bend it back into shape by hand. Think it will be fine.
Also note the square end could engage the propshaft more. Im only using about 1/2 the square on mine. Just beware of this when setting it up.

** pic attached but having some hosting/server issue obviously.

Well R2Hobbies I don't think will replace my ESC I smoked. They told me to run it on 4S! They started off nice and all was well like they were going to replace it but then they just stopped replying to my e-mails![:@] Will not spend another cent there!
