NEW AQACRAFT FE HYDROPLANE!!!!!!!

Here are the videos from our race last weekend - it was windy! In the videos the wind ranged from 15 mph to 25+ mph, really too much to race in but we are hard core. Pay attention to the ending of the final video....

TX Racers,
Great Vids.. What a great looking pond and it looks like you guys are having a really good time. Looks like you have a good variety of driver types.. makes for some fun club building and camaraderie. Congrats to all…
I have a few questions..
Was it the wind the reason why you were not running the full course?
Was the non white UL-1 using spec power?
I got confused by the count…up… If you like I can burn you a count down CD.. I suspect you already have something but always willing to help.
ROCK ON and lets hope for some good water soon.

This race was put on by nitro racers, but they kindly asked us to participate. We only ran the "short course" for one heat, due to very rough water on the back straight. But half way into that heat the CD decided to have us run the full course, which worked great once everyone got the message. All the boats were running UL/LiPo power combos. Apparently years of sniffing nitro fumes has addled the brains of the nitro guys - they can no longer count backwards....

Hello all, I just bought a white UL-1 with 2 SMC Hard pack lipos 28c 5000mah batterys
for it, new Grim lifter prop, 55mm pitch, and the ammo 2300kv motor to slap in this bad
beast...can anyone say that it will run around 48-50mph??? Im hoping this boat stick to the
water in turns, does it handle mild wind or wake?

You are gonna love the boat! Will the hard pack lipos physically fit in it? I use Flightpower 5000 packs and they're a tight fit. Run it first with the stock motor. You will be surprised. It's 2000+ KV. I'm not sure the Ammo is going to give you much more. I run mine with the grim 40x52 3 blade. It is on rails! Just placed 4th out of 16 in the LSH class at a race this past weekend running against some real salty dogs that are nationally known.

SMC lipos are a bit smaller than the usual, like Max Amps, i thought about getting
a set of 8000mah's...but was worried about space and weight, and there big, well
my last set was, the SMC's are over 1/2in smaller in length. Hope it works...Ill make it lol
As for the Ammo2300..hmm, I cant really tell, Iv saw some really fast SV27's an hydros with
this 2300 motor, ill test both, I need to get a Garmin gps, what about the prop bein a 55mm pitch...
was that too much?
Also yeah Iv had 4 supervee's and they flipped so much...even trimmed out.
so I need to get into
hydro's..faster and less down time lol

Hey I should also probably read about it but have limited time right now...but
how is the lipo voltage stutter work, or what does the boat do when low voltage
takes place, whats run time on 10000mah lipo's...20min?

Believe it or not, I've never hit the voltage cutoff! I have run 11 laps on a 1/8 mile course and only used 3400mAh out of my 5000 packs!

10,000mAh? Are you running two 4S packs in parallel? That's the only way you will get 10,000mAh. Normally in the UL-1 you will run two 2S packs in series. If you have 5000 2S packs, you still only have 5000mAh. I really haven't paid any attention to the running time. Just so long as I can run a good 1 mile race I'm happy.

No, FULL THROTTLE laps... Racing and bumpin and rubbin!
Yep, plug and play! I LOVE this boat! The power system setup is awesome. It is very conservative on the batteries while providing incredible power and performance!

I saw one of the proboats run. In fact I ran with him. The UL-1 was faster but not by much. I was surprised at how well the proboat did! I don't think the Proboat will be race competitive against the UL-1's but could be a fun sunday run boat.

Darin Jordan is doing a race-prep thread for the Elam on Offshore Electrics forum.
It might be a good place to get a better perspective on both boats - he had just finished one for the AC boat when he changed over to the Elam.
Two threads doing the same sort of thing for both boats. How can you beat that?!!
