Some of the videos seemed like a echo chamber ... Again... this is why I asked...
Brushless motors and lipo batteries HAUL ASS.... 60AMP speed controllers and 18volts =no joke..
Much more power than nitro .18
before I drop 500 bones, I need to know what I am getting into...

get off your butt and go watch a race or two and stop knocking people who acutally run these at a club out on in the parks in the city!!!!
we never get run off, infact we have several who come by to watch the fun
these are not big planes or dirt bikes.. you cannot compare this 4s boat to a 250cc dirt bike for loudness[:-]
and the people who are harassing you need to go get a life.. and maybe they are jelouse that you have some cool suff.. they are the dorks
if you lived close by I would take you to one of the races NAMABA20 has going this year so you can check them out
the nitros are kinda lound, and the gassers do make some noise but electric you cannot here them when they run with the nitro boats at all
keep in mind when you see a video on youtube the mic picks up the one boat you are hearing so it maximizes the volume if you will in the video
but in real like they are not that bad at all.. all you really here is the water being ripped to shreads!

I have seen some of the F1 tunnels (.21 outboards) and think that is the most fun to watch and perhaps do..
The WOT with the front end riding up on the verge of going over, is the best...
(again this is just video)
I could only compare it to the rear-wheel drive 1/10 scale .12nitro trucks I raced..
Very similar when Going down the strait always...
Anyways....
The boat seems like a Very good buy...
Is it worth getting the Motley Crew CAT. that is or coming out??
It must be complete dif. beasts... The hydro looks to be faster..???
Would you all recommend this boat over other RTR electrics in this size?

In my opinion I would hold out and get the new Cat from Aquacraft
this one you can blast left or right turns WOT!
may not be as fast, maybe upper 40's vs low 50's for the UL-1
but you can run the cat more times vs the UL-1
I do like my UL-1 though
