This is the video of the first real test run after 2 failed attemps due to rx problems.
well it looks great so far if you ask me..
it is really hard to puzzle all the hardware into this small hull. But it fitted and with the hatch in please (and sealed with tape) I was finally able to SEND IT!!

setup:
3s 3300 mah TCBWORTH lipo
1800kv outrunner
90A Flycolor esc
4 mm flex shaft
38mm plastic prop (First one that I found that would fit).

what do you say?😁

I say "thank you"! Wonder if the prop is coming out of the water causing the hopping. Maybe bending the stuffing tube up a little would fix that. Doesn't matter, it sure gets down the lake nicely.

I think the boats need more speed (duh&#128514.
But more power increases lift on the rear end so the weight distributes more to the front so the boat hangs on the pontons. U catch my drift?😜

this motor is 1800kv so on a 3s lipo thats only 20.000 rpm.
this motor was originally placed in a volantex atomic boat and the hopping was there as well on 3s. On 4s it planes faster and better. I think thats the issue. But I wasnt able to try 4s the other day because of weather conditions.

I also want to place the pontons more in front of the canopy and widen them for more balance an stability. I have carbon fiber rods for that.
and the pontons are full of water so that leak needs fixing first.

but this boat makes me smile😁
ofcourse my 36 Miss Geico is the real power but I like this kind of builds with cheap hulls to start with

I tried a 1300mah 4s lipo in this boat. But the results were not what I expected. The speed was not really incread as far as my bare eye could see. Taken the fact that the 1300mah is way lighter than the 3300mah 3s.
i had my gps device with me but there was no room in the hull to put it in.

whats next?

I ordered a 13 3900kv 36 series motor with the 3s lipo. Thats a good 44k rpm and I guess that is wat this boat needs.
I also modded the strut so It can be adjusted. I set it to a neutral/slightly negative angle but it can even be set to a positive angle.
I expect this new motor to arrive next week so the saga continues than😁

The ability to adjust the strut to less angle should stop the slight hopping action and squeeze a bit more speed. Good job!

New update!

changed the motor for a 3900kv 3650 inrunner.

still have my 40x1.4 prop installed.
started on 2s: too slow😂
went to 3s: looks better but not that fast.
tried a 1300 mah 65c battery from my small bolt... this looks way better.
I could hold up with a Sonic Wake 36 with leopard/seaking and 4519 prop..

in the video one of the pontons came loose. Didnt bother because I was about to open them up and fill them with foam, and widen the Arrow Wind.
its now 50cm wide instead op 36cm stock. And I used 5mm carbon rods to add stiffness.😁

the good thing is that the motor and esc are cold as ice. First I want to figure out the handling and have the hull set right.

after that I will try bigger props (ordered 42mm 1.6 cnc). And maybe try 5s or even 6s.

but for now this rigger brings a huge smile on my face.

thnx!
I think the rigger with this setup, compared to the sonic wake, will do around 50mph.
unfortunately my gps device doesnt fit the small area inside the hull.
I will try to maybe ducttape it to the outside of the hatch. But first well see how the widened arrow wind behaves. I Need to set the strut more positive I think for less hopping on the rear.
