Boat Nose diving?!?!
Hey guys.
Having a little problem with my arpro.
When the boat is running full throttle, the nose seems to dig in and spray water everywhere.
I've taken the trim tabs off and moved the battery as far back as i can, but still the boats nose digs
in the water at full speed.
Are there any tips/tricks to stop this?
Thanks....

RE: Boat Nose diving?!?!
Please include a side shot of the hull. Particularly hte rear, straight on from directly beside the boat. Also: Has this just started or has it done this since you started running this boat?

I'm guessing that your strut angle is too low. Perhaps got bumped? Can you adjust the strut (tube) upwards a couple degrees? I'm willing to bet that would fix your problem.

here are some pictures - I will have a video up soon.
Here is a picture of the boat sitting in the water - it sits lower in the water on the left side to the right, but once it gets going it is equall on both sides...Is this a problem?

Your pictures verify this, that is an intense negative angle and will surely lead to the hull riding "wet" as confirmed by the pictures. Can you slightly bend the shaft upward a little? Even a couple degrees will significantly help your situation. The manual should show you how to make adjustments if you have one.

I am thinking about getting an adjustable stinger drive and fit a cable shaft...

RE: Boat Nose diving?!?!
Hi Midget,
Your video won't load, so there's not much I can see wrong with your boat other than the rather steep propangle.
Do you get the same speed as the boat in the second video?
When you hold a ruler parallel to the keel and slide towards the sides, is ther a dent or hollow in the hull, specially in the rear quarter? (if so, this will act as a trimtab adjusted downwards, pushing the bow down.)
If the hull is straight, the hole for the propshaf in the transom has to move up, preferabely combined with the motormount lowered as much as possible, to get the angle as small as possible.
Now you've got me worried, as I've two of these boats arriving end of the month...
Regards, Jan.

RE: Boat Nose diving?!?!
I got one of this, but mine runs fine without the nose diving character.
Only thing is the ESC came with the boat blown out within the first 10 min.
Changed to a SeaKing 35A, and put in a bigger battery 2600mah/30C, the boat runs fine.
Only thing is the outrunning motor is difficult to cool down after putting in better ESC and better battery.

Vanguo:A water cooled motor mount is the perfect solution for an outrunner motor.
Midget: you are right-on. Go to a flex cable and adjustable stinger and your problems are solved. You need to bring the stinger angle up a little and the nose will lighten significantly. Sdg
