This all happened with one of those. I dont remember if the FS was set though.
Oops, sorry. Hopefully it wasn't set, like you said. Those kind of problems are real naggers. Hope you figure it out!

I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think it is a two piece shaft (flex/prop) with a square end. If so, you need to remove the strut to pull the flex out as he prop shaft goes in from the rear of the strut. I hope I'm right on this one - maybe someone else (Rake?) will help out here.

Stock shaft is 2 piece yes.

Remove the prop, undo the dog, release the coupler flex shaft screw and pull it out.

Wow, it has been a while and by coincidence I was out tuning my Tenshock mini hydro today for the first time in 6 months or better. Glad to see you're back in the swing of things!

Hi guys! That's a long time ago! My Bolt is still in the shed.
Didn't had some time to run it this summer.
I also need to buy a new lipo charger so I can charge my batteries to test if they still work!
Right now I am going to buy a new charger first!

Present!
I thought everyone has moved on and lost interest in the Bolt.
Anyways, just like to report that I am still where I left off the last time . . .
Got the plastic EKOS props but never got to test them.
well maybe that the gang is here, I might as well plan some weekend testing.
Glad to hear from you all my friends!

If you thought these little boats can get expensive....well, you can guess the rest!

Good to hear from you Boltsters Sadly, I've had to thin my fleet and sold the Bolt a while back [] But kept my Tenshock Mini Hydro, as these are so much fun.

LiPo balance charger is ordered, so now I need to search for all my batteries and test them if they still work.
The summer is gone since this week so I have  to be quick for a test run with the Bolt because otherwise it will be way too cold to stand next to the water haha.

Mine still amazingly work.
Going 2S 2200mah 40-50C on a Keda 4800kv = 34000 rpm

This is a rebuilt hull from one of my famous out of control events.

Just need to stick the servo down, Greece the shaft and test run !

Yes, weren't you having control problems the last time out? Maybe the gremlins got antsy and left! Hope all turns out well.

Great color contrast. I found Black boats look cool, but are sometimes hard to keep up with on the water. There's no missing that boat!

@Rake - I myself go for loud colors. Kinda' hard to miss when running side by side with other boats .
Not to mention the water spray!
But honestly,my eyes are not what they used to be! . . .

Anyways, I can't help but notice that siliconeshaft seal rubbing on the motor coupler - looks like extra drag.
Maybe pull it back a bit just enough to clear some minute space in between?
Also, just wanted to ask if that Keda is a 2 pole motor.
Let us know how she goes.

@Sundogz - Do you have the TS carbon hull?

By the way, any of you guys move up to the HK Vortex?

Yes, the carbon version. I haven't run a vortex, but I jumped up to an [link=http://www.hydromarine.de/hm_20060.htm] H&M Lifter[/link] hydroplane which I plan to outfit like their Striker (no front canard or rear fins). The Lake I've been using is large and wavy most of the time, so I need to scale up (or run early or late to avoid big waves).

Thanks for activating the tread. So...

ORIGINAL: sundogz
... I think you could get a little more speed by eliminating the 2s lipo used for the servo - just wire in the ubec to the speed controller battery terminals.

Thank you for the BEC power tip!

... finally today, almost a year later I did this change .

I also changed the motor to Leopard 2445 3400kv one.

Hi caracter
Thanks for the comments, it's all lubed and grease comes out of the silicone so perhaps no drag ? Might cut it anyway.

Vantaa - been there saw moose !

Well, I have not seen a moose here. Only in a bit more country side area.White-tailed deer is propably the closest to mooseI have seen here. I have never been in UK, perhaps one day.

My boatinghasthis summerfocused on Genesis. Finally I managed to hit the100 km/htarget.

Good show! That is a hot setup. [X(]Ive got the 1500kv version for 6s use - and a 45mm Octura. I was hoping to get similar speeds on my Genesis. I don't mean to hijack this thread, but are you running the inline rudder?

Yes literally very hot setup. Strategy here was - "smoke or go", this time it was the "go". After this one minute drive the leopard plastic wire feed through was partly melting. But above 100 km/h in gps was my only goal. I tried this target with two motor-esc combinations earlier this summer without success. First time the leopard 4074 motor (2000kv+180a) didn't seem to have enough torgue. Second time my Himodel Hv ESC lived only 100 sec in preliminary test with T600 1400 kv motor. Last winter I installed an offset rudder so also this latest run was done with offset rudder.

Someting about small bolt...
This spring I tested two motors. The leopard 2040 4450kv didn't live long. I did few runs also with Leopard 2435 4000kv motor (Astec models accidentally sent me one when I ordered the 2445 3400kv). The 2435 4000kv motor was working guite OK but it was lacking torgue. Speeds were not anything special.

I hopethe 2445 3400kv motor fixes the torque issue.
