"Standard" Battery Configurations for Boat Applications
Hi,
I am wondering why boat setups seem to have even numbers of cells. The Nue motor chart (below) is the same. There are 2s, 4s, 6s, 8s, etc, setups. I have two 5s 5,000mah packs. Is there anything wrong with a 5s2p (18.5v / 10,000mah) set-up?

i run a 5 s set up, no issues with it if you can fit it in a hull, i'd get something in the 1500-2000 kv range, An even number of cells just usually works out better for balance and running the packs in series as opposed to parallel like you are wanting to
