Newboy needs help!
I have just bought a BlackJack 26 from ebay. The motor looks like the original A3630-1500 Brushless Motor but it has been upgraded with an 80A ESC, Octura 442 prop, and red alloy prop supports. There is only one deans connector so I think I can only plug in one battery.
What battery would you suggest is best for overall speed and reasonable endurance? Also do I need to program the ESC? If so how!? Thanks for your help as I am new to this so please dont be too technical on replies. Greg |

RE: Newboy needs help!
You will need a series connector like this
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXYHX5&P=7 and some Turnigy 25c 5000mah batteries will work great and they are cheap :D |
RE: Newboy needs help!
Thanks, I will get those sorted. How many cells should each battery be?

Thank you and this is most helpful. SoI should get two7.2V 5000 mah 25C 2S?
Could I use ones that are a higher voltage 11.1 or 14.4 or would this burn our the ESC or Motor? |

Great Thanks again. I understand how a series connector works by following your earlierlink. What is the difference between series and parrallel and how would I connect the batteries.

RE: Newboy needs help!
Hi, My new Turnigy batteries have arrived! They are 5000mah, 20C-30C, 4S. I am going to put two of them in parallel in my Blackjack (with upgrade 80amp ESC prop etc). When I go to charge them my charger only goes up to 4A. Does this mean that I wont get the full power out of the battery or that it will just take a long time to charge? I am also trying to figure out what the numbers on batteries mean. I know that S means cell and each cell give 3.7V What does 20-30C discharge mean? I know that 5000 mah means milliamps but what does this actually mean? Longer runtime? More power? Thanks Greg
|
