Help

Hey new guy here in need of help. Just bought a boat for my sons 10th birthday. Its an rtr piece of crap. Have to pretty much touch the transmitter to the reciever to get it to run then it stops. Motor surges and vibrates. When it does finally start to work the battery dies in like 10 minutes. Its brand new. In the water twice. Range suppose to be 300ft. I can't get 3 feet. Did i get ripped www.xenonproject.com/rc-boats/electric/nqd-dolphin-boat-blue-p-36428 Similar to this model but not exact.

I don't have much to say about NQD or similar products. I would imagine you'd have a lot more fun with something like this:

It has quality gear for new users.

Ya should have did a little more homework i think. Seems to me its the controller or reciecer. As long as your close all works but the second you move away its starts to act up and the motor pulses.</p>

RE: Help

I would take it back, it may have a problem.  Even cheap toys with about 10' range work better then that.  Make sure you check that your batteries are all good as well.

I would seriously consider another RTR. It would be too expensive to replace the ESC/Rx in those.
