i just bought this boat and ran it one time and twisted the flex cable and lost the prop. any suggestions on how to keep this from happening. ?

Sorry that happened to you. Get an upgrade cable from OSE, much better quality than the stock unit. Make certain that the cable slides into the motor coupler easily, if not gently bend the stuffing tube until it does.
