hello what is better to buy electric or nitro and what boat thanks

That's a big question. What's your budget, what do you want it to do? Scale, race, bash around? I like both but have way more nitro boats than electric. I'm most interested in racing but have a few scale electrics (a PT boat and a Tuna Clipper) and a Joysway Infinity for bashing. I also have some outboard tunnel hulls (nitro) to race. Lot's of options, great time to be an r/c boater.

I'm boat hunting is your joysaway a quality boat? Parts available? Not China? I see them all over ebay if they are a good boat I'll buy one ,why are traxxas so expencive? I assume they are the same quality as their cars ,, thanks

The Infinity is a glass boat and like most of it out there is from China as far as I know. Mine has good hardware, was put together right. They have a reputation for splitting the seam between top and bottom but you have to crash it pretty hard. It runs about 40 mph. I've had a problem getting to full power but have determined that it is in fact a battery problem and not something wrong with the boat, specifically not the esc which is where I first thought there was a problem. One or two others have experienced the same issue. You can do some upgrades like the prop and get some more speed. At least one person has gotten it up to 51 mph and says it gets pretty hard to control. For its size I don't doubt it. I like mine, will keep it. If I were in the market for one this size I would seriously consider buying it again. There are a couple of long threads here and on RCG about it and several videos. As for parts I don't know about factory stuff but you can replace everything inside it easily and make it faster. I think it's a winner.
