a good motor for the outboard leg to suit the 36 inch tunnel hull is a Castle Neu 1515 - 1y. you can go cheaper in motor brands but this is about the size you need to get the hull working fast.

A 36” tunnel will not run well at all on 4S, neither an OPC nor an offshore hull. Amp draw will be very high and prop size too small for efficiency. (The little 4S motors do work well on hulls in the 27-30” range.) Far better to run at least 6S and a motor with dimensions between 40x82 and 40x92 mm, with the right Kv this will spin props in the 50-55 mm range and give decent performance. I run 36” inboard cats and am well aware of what works.

Sorry, I am not aware of a good leg for this size motor, but then I don’t look for them either.

Leg would have to be either the K&B or Lawless 7.5 versions. Only choices out there.

what about Thunder Tiger ? do they still make outboards ?

36" tunnel would be more in the line of 7.5 nitro or Q class for electric. TT only made a 3.5, which I don't know if they are still in production. Don't know if the 1515 would be enough for a 36". I plan on putting a 1515 2200kv on my PX-300 (30") this year. Some races appear to be getting rid of the P-LTD and going straight P. Also want to see what my boat will do for the IMPBA 2 lap 1/3 mile record.

There is one other drive out there from Hyperformance products. Their 7.5 Bullet Drive would work for the 36" tunnel. They have a electric mount also.
