Lil tech help

Ok so, i have a blackjack 24, has a fairly hot traxxs venolin brushless in it.
Screems along at around 45 - 50 mph.
Now my issue is this....after running for a bit,
3s 30C pack went down so brought it in.
removed hatch to dis con battery and noticed not only were the whires quite warm but batt pack was very warm as well.......
As i have been told lipos getting hot is not good.
Insight / help anyone ???

You don’t give us much information. We need some details:

- exactly what is the “fairly hot” motor?
- exactly what prop are you running?
- exactly what battery are you using - brand, type and capacity?
- exactly how long is “running for a bit”?
- what is the timing advance set to?

Most likely you have too much motor for the boat/voltage/type of running you do, or inadequate packs. But more details will help.

35c should be a minimum. I wont run less than 40c in my boats. Most guys with fairly hot motors won't run less than 50c. If your Blackjack goes 45-50mph It could be the 30c packs
