RE: Patching holes (links needed) and trim tabs (help needed)
hi there, trim tabs are only needed if the boat doesnt plane (run correctly) in the water.
when you put the boat into the water it will sit deep, under acceleration the bow (pointy end) will rise up out of the water and then the sturn (arse end) will also lift and the boat will run flatter accross the top of the water with the bow down and the sterne gear more out of the water. if the boat runs with the bow sticking up in the air and the prop deeper into the water trying to push the boat up instead of along then trim tabs will help. After experimenting with different glues and loosing tabs i find that 2 / 3 screws into the sterne with eiter silicone sealer or a rubber gasket cut to fit works best, this way they usually come back with the boat. any luck with your antenna ??? Thanks, I think I will go ahead and get them because im putting the brushless in it, and it already with the stock motor points up. Nope still have no idea how to/where to sodder the antenna... Do I cut off the old exsisting wire antenna and sodder the thing where that is...?
