my brother wants to get an electric boat and it doesnt really matter how much it costs but like under 350. only thing that matters to him is that it has to be fast enough to beat my nitro hammer , and has to have a nice rooster and can handle some waves.

i dont know anything on electric boats so thats y im askin

Tell your brother to check out www.offshoreelectrics.com for the fastest RTR electrics around! Even faster with the modifications available (Wave Shark).

He might be faster, but you'll have the longer runtime...

Depending on your driving style, about 8-12 minutes (full throttle)
