suks my book, like a device to control electrical flow to motors any ideas? also a fail safe unit if i go out off range, cheaper the better so you can start slow then build speed up... this is the boat i have http://www.hobbytron.com/EP-Racing-RC-Boat.html |
RE: help in upgrading speed control
Hi, Diveplane,
This kind of boats are só cheap, they have to come with the type of "speedcontrol" you mentioned (Vector steering). To make each motor individually controllable would need a ESC (electronic speed controller) for each motor, a receiver with at least three channels and a transmitter to match. This puts the whole thing in another price segment and it just wouldn't sell with the small 380 motors... Anoher option is to run the boat till you're fed up with it and upgrade the boat to a 700 motor, 12-14 cells, a ESC, a flex shaft and separate rudder. This will make it run 30Mph+ (and quite a dent in your wallet aswell) Upgrades like this have been done before and run very well. Rehards, Jan. |
