Satyr
I realize this is not usually what you guys get here, but these are electric, and they are boats( airboats ) http://www.rc-airboats.com/gallery/v...d%2C-the-Satyr and http://www.rc-airboats.com/gallery/v...d%2C-the-Naiad Tell me what you think. Sean

RE: Satyr
that looks pretty cool how does it run?

RE: Satyr
I haven't actually had the hydro in (big enough) water yet( I have done pool float tests). However, Dry land run ( crawls accross the floor) looks like it will run faster than the blue Naiad boat( maybe 15mph ) but not be as manuverable. we shall see when we hit the water. Sean

RE: Satyr
You should post this in the "Airboats" forum, there are some pretty airboat-savy people in there.

RE: Satyr
that's where most of my stuff is, thought I'd cross over and share.

RE: Satyr
Ahhhh I see....cool! I also like the airboats, they're a blast! I purchased one of the "Selph-Inflicted" hulls from Chris, he makes a good product. It's not electric, it's powered by a .46 AX and moves along nicely. Chris also has great customer service to back up his products.

RE: Satyr
If you have a Selph-infilcted hull with a .46 and it only moves nicely, there may be a problem. LOL I've seen Chris' hulls - they scream. Chris is a good guy, with good product. I'm glad you're happy.
As far as the Satyr is concerned, it plows like farm equipment. I think it needs more planing surface for this type of hull. Needs some serious experimentation. |
