electrics help

well, im building my 3rd boat (as soon as i get it from tower) and i need some reccomendations..i ordered a dumas short stuff deep vee (18" boat) wood kit and im at a total loss as to what kind of motor and batteries to run. id like the boat to go 15+mph. i want to use a brushless motor and lipos, but im not sure what size motor or how many cells/voltage, and what kind of surface drive i should run.if someone could give me some reccomendations, id really appreciate it!!i dont want to try and break any records, but i do want a zippy/fast boat.

thanks,
nate sanders

brushless and lipos should do what you want it to do.

naw
just go for somthing that can handel a bl motor like one for a nitro boat
i have a nitro hardware that is good to .21 and when i had the bl setup in it it almost distroyed it
so be carful
and lipo are lighter so u can pack more power in the same weight !

for instance i have a 11.1 lipo that is the same size as my 7.2 volt pack and with the boat running on the the 7.2 it just screams !
but then the lipo will fit ,it is lighter and more power so i wonder !
and then u have a BL setup so if you have that boat expect way more then 15 mph !

use the second one from the top (12-18 cells !)
that is what i have used with out problems
