could I modify a cheap toy grade rc boat, to a real rc boat. dimension are 24 in long, 5 and 3/4 in wide, and 3 and 1/2 at deepest part of hull? here it is http://www.remotecontrolhobbies.com/...ntain_boat.jpg
I have been into rc nitro boats for a year and a half so I know what it would to get running. Is it even possible to keep it under $75.00 I have a radio system already but need a motor, esc, drive assenbly, and steering assembly |

Well toy or not it is a real RC boat;) lol. Do you mean a fast RC boat? If thats the case, then, Motor, esc, drive assy and steering assy for under $75.00???? hahahahahaha thats funny. I hate to say it and I'm not being rude, but GOOD LUCK. OF course, unless you just want to put some more crap in it. There is plenty of cheap stuff out there, but is it worth the trouble, I don't think so.

2916jr ,
Would it be possible to modify the boat and make it less of a toy? More than likely. For $75 or less? Sorry, I really doubt it, unless you happen to have a few spare parts laying around. Would it be able to compete with other 'fast' boats? Depends a lot on what you mean by 'fast', but I sort of doubt it. Ought to be fun though! - 'Doc |

There is only one chance of getting a Boat like that up to at least Hobby Spec..
Finding someone with NQD Electronic Box to tget it converted to a more reliable 7.2 Volt Battery Source.. but with a $75 limit.. that would be all.. I suggest getting a NQD High Wind to begin with .. then your goal may be a little more achievable.. over time.. With the Boat I am rebuilding now.. it has Cost me $253 US so far and thats using cheap components (Brand New) |
RE: please delete
$253.00, a few more dollars and you could have a CEN Aquajet Extreme.
