RE: battery question

The first/best thing you can do is a slow c/10 charge for 15 hrs to charge them and balance.

Kevinlle,

Next week TEKIN will be putting out there Battery nurse. I am finding out with NiMH batterys its extreamly important to care for them right. You may want to look into this new Tekin product.

Charge them for 15 hrs with a wall charger that has a rate of around 350-400 ma. The chargeing at c/10 does the balancing.
Since you have 8 cell packs then a wall charger that is for 9.6 volt batts and around 200-500 ma can be used to charge. The total time (in hrs) just has to be figured by dividing 5700 by the rate of the charger.

RE: battery question

The battery Nurse I don't think will balance cells, but the battery doctor will. It will balancve the cells at the bottom (when they're empty) c/10 chargeing will balance at the full mark.

im using Hitec cg335 charger, its not a wall charger but its can set low to 0.5a is that ok, and how long its gonna take me, by the way i did charge my battery with 4.5A lastnite[:o] anyway i can fix it or do it again with 0.5A?

RE: battery question

A peak charger will not do a c/10 charge unless you can disable the peak detection. .5 would be fine if it will charge for about 10 hrs.

Another way to balance is to allow the trickle charge to go overnite After the peak charge has stopped. I can't seem to find out what the trickle rate is or if it stays on for a long time.
