hi
i build a 5' boat and for right now i am powering it with a 12 volt 7am gel cell ,i move the battery to the latter back of the boat to get the bow out of the water and it work but i seem to lose speed and run time ,is it because i added about 10" of wire ,some one told me to run 12 ga wire to the 14 ga wire that i put wire conncters on so i can reach the battery in the back right now there is 14 ga ,am i losing power because of the long run , i am thing of getting 2 nimh 5000 and a y conncter my speed control will take up to 28 volts and 80 amps, motors will that up to 24 cells

and will this charger work on the nimh 5000 battery and how long will a charge that

That esc costs $160. Don't waste your money. Go for this one: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=rch-vic1032 and get it while you can because they won't be made anymore. They're IMO the best brushed marine esc's ever made, and backed with outststanding customer service.

Don't get that charger! Please spend a few more dollars and get a GOOD charger, if not you'll get a good one later on and wished you hadn't wasted your money earlier on. I personally use a Triton http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-gpmm3153 and love it. Just use a Y harness to charge multiple packs. It does require a 12v dc source but that can be purchased, or made very inexpensively. Most very good chargers are 12v dc.

Don't know about that motor but MHZ carries decent products but they tend to be on the slightly expensive side.

well to late on both ,just started in boats learning on the way, i will use it on my next boat a 44" pbr with jet drives thanks rye
