Purchase a new Outboard motor. Either one from Graupner or the EP1

REK OB: http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/hardware.htm ( go down )
or a cut K and B ( don't recommend if you can't use a band saw. |
RE: Looking for an outborad Electric
I have a K&B lower half for a 3.5 how would i make that work

RE: Looking for an outborad Electric
There's a lot of material you can cut away on the K&B. Take out all the exhaust above the aeration plate and cut pretty close to the screws on the lower unit up to the engine mount.
You will need to make a motor mount to connect your motor up with flex. You can do this by cutting in to the lower unit deep enough for a coupler or you can just raise your mount high enough to fit a coupler in between the lower and motor. Either way, I'd recommend getting a new motor. At least a brushed 700 size can. Ryan |
RE: Looking for an outborad Electric
where could i find a coupler and the motor i have is from a rc monster truck is it still not powerfull enoth

RE: Looking for an outborad Electric
It depends on what coupler you will end up needing.
Your motor looks like a stock 550. Is it a 700 size or bigger brushed motor? If you want 25+mph out of the OB, you will need atleast 700 power. Ryan |
RE: Looking for an outborad Electric
its a stock 550. i just want to get the boat moving i dont really care how fast it goes as long as it dosent crawl
