Battery Question Need help
Just bought a brushless cat that runs off 18 cells. But it is hook up with 1 dean plug. batterys are split up in two 9 cell battery packs and hook up with one dean plug for chargeing. They do unplug and plug up on the other end. I only have a 10 cell charger. how can i fix them to charge one at a time and be able to hook them up with the 1 dean plug that is in the boat without takeing the batterys apart and resoilderning them everytime. As you can tell i'm new to electric boats. Please help....

If your cat runs on 18 cells and the boat only has one deans plug and you have two 9 cell packs, you need what is called a series adapter. Its an adapter that connects to two batteries to double the voltage. They're easy to make. (look at the pics below)
Or you can buy one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNKY9&P=7 As for the charging, what charger are you using? Because the charger type depends on how many packs you can charge at a time. By the way what 18 cell cat are you talking about? What's the name of it? |

Wow, that's a big boat to start out with.
For now if you want to charge both packs at the same time my only idea is to get another one of those chargers.(don't use the series thing on the charger) |
