RE: Brushless Motor question??

|

What kind of running are you aiming for?

RE: Brushless Motor question??
I see your from Cullman, im from scottsboro originally. Look on unitedhobbies for a HV esc, 100 amps and 12s ready for about $100, but remember the motor you have selected will not run 6s, you will likely ruin the esc trying to make it run that way. while your on there site, try and look for a 14xl.

RE: Brushless Motor question??
Will it be ok to use the Castle creations Hydra240 w/25volt max and 240 max amps??
what does cells no BEC mean, will this esc let me use 6s lipo??? |
RE: Brushless Motor question??
castle esc's that say they have a max of 6s can not run 6s for long, use 5s max, BEC is battery eliminator circuit, over a certain voltage you have to cut or remove the middle red wire on the servo plug going to the receiver, then use a external 4 or 5 cell battery pack to power the servos and esc's controller. you dont need the 240 in sport boats, the 120 will be fine, but on 3s2p and a 7xl it would give you some headroom to run a bigger prop, motor life will be cut down a tad, but not to much.
