Newbie question

Is the Aquacraft Supervee27 the largest ELECTRIC boat? I'm getting ready to buy one but I see all these gas type boats that are much larger and I'd like a larger boat. Is it due to the fact that an electric set-up will not push the larger boats? I need to stay with electric due to the restrictions of the place where I will be running it. I'm very impressed with the SV27's performance and feedback....thanks

RE: Newbie question

You could build a bigger electric boat but it will cost you some serious cash if you whant it to perform.

The need for a larger boat is usually rougher water. What type of place are you running at? What is your budget? Do you have any other RC stuff? (radio, charger etc.) There are boats that are slightly bigger for double or tripple and then there are boats that are 2x as big that are 5x the cost of the SV. The villian is often spoke of at a good rough water boat but you need to give more background.

RE: Newbie question

I'm totally new to boats. I have some experience with a monster truck rc but mainly I have been doing stuff with slot care racing. I will need the entire package for the boat. A RTR set-up. The water I will be at is your typical large man-made lake with the water being fairly smooth, not real choppy. As far as the budget goes, I'm more concerned about spending unnecessary money. I don't ind spending more as long as I don't end up with a pricey boat that doesn't perform or is slower than an out-of-the-box boat. As I said, I really like the reviews on the SV27, but I really like the looks of a bigger boat. Thank you for the replies as they will help me decide.

alloutcustom....grasshopper..hehehehe...that is good. seriously, I like a sense of humor. I get a little intimidated sometimes asking questions of the folks with the knowledge. The SV27 is looking like the one I may get. I was just hoping to find soemthing in the 36" to 40" range with the same performance as the SV27. I have some time until the weather will be good for boating, so I'll keep nosing around.....thank you again for the replies. Keep 'em coming if anyone has any other suggestions.

you could also get the blackjack 26" if you want a RTR Electric Catameran. How much are you willing to spend because im sure if you dont feel up to it, someone could make you boat of that size. but for an electric 41" your looking at $1000 for a 50mph boat. It is up to you.

go to offshoreelectrics.com then to hulls, then scroll down to delta force 41. or i could get you a H&M drifter L (34.5"x10") or a H&M no step for about the same price maybe 50.00 more cause of the extra shipping.
