Good Setup for Hydro Gas Conversion???
I am looking for a good setup to maybe run in the 50's or even 60's in a miss elam hydro. I have some 3s and 4s lipos already and a 7l brushless motor already. What setup is needed for this speed. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I have a 1/12 Llumar, on 4s, sv-27 speed controller and a 9xl. Runs in the mid to upper 40s.
It doesn't need to be much faster than that. Its a fun boat at that speed, but 50-60 is not going to be easy . Plus you want something that will hold together consistently and will be controlable. You might want to try a 8 or 7 xl and a hydra 120. |

A gas hydro is at least 40" or bigger.

RE: Good Setup for Hydro Gas Conversion???
I am converting a 43-inch Stryker gas hydro to electric. Actually it is a new hull that will be electric from the get go.
I plan to use a Neu 1527/1.5Y on 10S2P power. Expecting speeds in the high 50's to mid 60's. Empty weight of the hull is 7.8 pounds. Then add in 7 pounds of batteries, 2 pounds for motor, mount, ESC, and another 8 ounces of general stuff and it should come in at 17.5 or so. Right where my other 10S2P boats are. |
