ESC for Lead Acid Setup

I'll be using a 550 brushed motor with 2 6V lead acid batteries. The total weight of the boat is about 16 Lbs.
This is in a tugboat and I will need reverse also.

Any suggestions would be appreciated:D

Thanks Red [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

That was the one I looked at, just wasn't sure because other people are running 80 - 100 amp ESC's in thier tugs.

The ProBoat ESC's are not known for their 'low end' revs, which you might be after if you are running a tug. They seem to 'cut in' at about 1/3rd revs.

Have a look at the Mtroniks range of ESC's (available in the USA from Loyalhanna) or the ESC's available from Harbor models.

I'll check it out Toes. It's for my Springer and I trust your advice when it comes to them.

Tony

I tried to pull loyalhanna on the search and only come up with a town in PA. Do you have an address for it?

By the way, a standard Springer is @ 8lb... my two super Springers top out @ 10lb... so @ 16lb, your Springer should be a submarine..

Toes

Some one had told me that each battery was about 5 lbs so that was what I was judging the weight from. Guess I was wrong.[sm=red_smile.gif]
