Which SeaKing 60A ESC is it, does it has a clear plastic case on the top side ?

Do you plan to use your transmitter to program it or do you want to purchase a programming card to ease the job ?

Using the programming botton on the ESC may not work, using the transmitter is very frustrated and tedious work.

Hi Adam,

Try mailing Swanghobby: http://www.swanghobby.com/help.php?s...us&mode=update

I received two of their ESC without set-up instructions and asked for it by mail; the next day I had it in my mailbox...

Or download this, it's identical:

Excellent thanks guys. i think ive got it sorted the problem now is i dont think any water is
pumping around it.... i have tried connecting a syringe to it with water hose each end and it
would appear its somehow blocked as nothing will pass through it.

Poke a tooth pick or some plastic stick into the inlet and outlet, sometimes that's where it is blocked by the minieral build up.

Hi Adam,

This is the ESC in question, right?
http://www.swanghobby.com/hobbywing-...1-pr-1670.html

If you haven't yet unblocked it by poking, you'll have to take the shrinkwrap off and use a fitting drill (2-2,5mm) to clear the heatsink holes.

I added a picture of how these holes are drilled, what I don't know, is if the connecting hole at the bottom is closed by a grubscrew, or by a plug, that's glued in with epoxy.
If the latter is the case, there may be epoxy, blocking the flow and you'll have to re-drill the holes to free them up and close up the bottom end hole again.

Let us know how things develop.

Regards, Jan.

Yep thats the esc. in the end i did manage to unblock it with a small drill bit. i had to use
quite a bit of force, so im not sure weather i would have damaged anything, but both sides
were blocked the same.
the esc looks almost brand new so im wondering if it was a fault when manufactured and its
never actually worked, i would say at a guess that it was blocked with epoxy. i have pumped
a fair bit of water round it and there are no leeks and it all seems to be working ok but i would
advise anyone with this esc just to double check for this fault to be on the safe side as it was
causing no water to be able to pump round the motor either.
