RE: What does it take.
A substantual amount of cash to buy a big brushless motor, an ESC to match and Lipo's to run it.
Something like this: http://www.plettenberg-motoren.com/U...M_50/Motor.htm Regards, Jan. |

RE: What does it take.
Personally I would not invest the approx 1k it would take to convert that hull to electric power. Buy a decent hull first as a foundation. Better yet, buy a slightly smaller higher quality hull that will require a smaller and more affordable power system to run well. You'll end up with a higher quality, better handling, and faster boat that you'll be happier with in the long run. just my .02...

Here are some options for you as motorsport has suggested:
http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...s/PRB2051.html http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRXZ0&P=7 http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...s/PRB3751.html You can set one of these up with your own, quality components to make a fast fun boat. I'm sure that others and myself can suggest running gear if you want to pursue this route. Or, here are some rtr's that could be considered: http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...s/PRB3750.html http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...s/PRB3100.html http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...s/TRA1502.html |
RE: What does it take.
example:
http://www.aeromarinerc.com/index.ph...d=33&Itemid=53 I would say any glass hull meant for .40-.60 nitro power would make a good "cost effective" electric conversion. Doesen't have to be from Aeromarine. MKM |
