SuperVee 27 Vs Widowmaker

thoughts? advice? experience?

main difference i see is the SV uses two batteries and the WM uses 1.
and that the WM is more of an offshore deep V.

looking to pick one or the other up for g/fs father. hes bought 15 different cheap chinese toy RC boats ($50 RTR) and always disappointed, i want to get him something good

Well... The SV27 has a longer hull and it maybe more stable in rougher waters. WM doesn´t have trim tabs, which you may have to add, if you use some upgrade props. Trim tabs are needef, if you want to have your WM to run nice and smooth. Haven´t tested yet, but I guess.

Both boats need some adjusting but I have been really satisfied with my SV27. My brother acquired a WM and I am looking forward to competing against him.

I have noticed that it´s easier to find upgrade and tuning parts for SV27´s than WM´s. Also you find more tuning tips for the SV27 than the WM. To get a really fast one, get the SV27.

As I have tested the WM, I can tell you more. :)

I was one of the first to have a SV when they came out. I loved it. Nice boat for the money. Certainly not a rough water boat, but it's fast. fun and a great stock racer for a club.

For the money, it's a hoot. Aquacraft electric RTR's are some of the best IMO.
