brushless apache 24 help needed.

1 Attachment(s)
:D Hi heres my apache 24 converted to brushless..I am using a 3300KV motor and a 35amp seaking esc...I put flex cabe and turn fin as seen in photos.
My problem is for some reason it feels like it don't float on the water serface it runs deep...what can i do?
Also i have a CF 40 prop on it and the esc stays 89deg and motor gets 140deg max ... I am thinking maybe the prop is to big and the motors RPM is not getting to full Rpm? I see the proboat widow maker uses almost the same set up but uses a smaller prop?

Any help will be great.
Thanks

Here is what i see....................looks like you're using a rudder type water pickup.............they never have given me enough flow volumn, so i never use them, i use transom mount pickups. Is your discharge stream good or a dribble? 89 degree readings on an esc are almost unheard of.....that is very low. If you are overpropped / over kv'd your ESC should be smokin hot. I dont think the prop is too big.................and i think using a 35 amp esc on a 3300kv 540 motor is not sufficient.............so it should be hot. Have you tried adjusting your prop angle down some?

Hi thanks
The rudder has the water pick up in it and it sprays out pretty good i see it spraying about 6 inches out the side of the hull.
the esc don't get hot and the motor is a 13.5 it's not to hot of a motor.
It don't seem that fast for what it is.... I think a smaller prop may let the RPMs of the moter reach full rpm and it may go faster.
If i angle the prop down some won't this make the hull ride wet and go slower?

THANKS

Hey there shelonco ever fix that overheating problem? And I have a question on your flex cable. Proly got it from OSE but what are the dimentions and what coupler did you use on the motor? This thread has been dead for a while so hoping to get some feedback.... Thanx in advance JK

The motor is not the best. 13.5 is a slow motion motor, no power. The esc is isn't big enough. I reread your posting and you typed that the boat ran deep. This says the prop is to big for a submerged setup. Now being the motor isn't much to write home about. You need a boat motor with torque. I was searching for a motor on 3S with dual lipos and each lipo in the sponson but no luck yet.
