Pro Boat mini V

I am considering making apurchase of several mini v's for general recreational use for users of a minimal skill level. I was wondering what everyone thought of these boats from a general durabiltiy and ease of use stand point. I was also wondering what the charge and run times were like for this particular model. Any information or recomendations on this or similar boats would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Pro Boat mini V

i have a stock Aquacraft Mini Wildcat and with the upgrade Duratrax DTX 1600 mah battery i get 8 - 10 minutes easy and it's a very stable little boat . i've tried hard to flip it over in the turns ....... Just won't happen . Keep the drive wires well lubed and i think it will run forever . The motors (dual) are water cooled and the hull is water tight (albeit i had a little water inside after 10 minutes from the drive tubes i'm guessing ) . I think this would be a better purchase for your aplication . And you can't beat the price . Check it out on Tower Hobbies site .There are a multitude of channels as well . As far as charging goes i use a Duratrax Onyx 240 dual charger , from Tower Hobbies also . You can charge 2 batteries at once with this .It takes about 15 - 20 minutes .

Read away, other threads also.

There is also a long thread somewhere on here talking about these boats since they first came out. Lots of info, fun boats!

I got 9 total off of E-bay in packs of 3. All broke, but I would get 2 or 3 running out of each pack, hell of a deal. 9 mini's plus bought batteries for about $300, got 7 running.

Thanks for the suggestions and link, I looked up the large thread on mini v's on this forum as well. After reading about all the mods and such, I am begining to think I need to get myself one too. I think Im gonna try your silicone hatch sealing idea, as I know most of the boats will see abuse and roll overs.
