2.4Ghz Glitching
Hey there fellas .I thought that the 2.4Ghz radio systems were supposed to give glitch free running ? Me and 2 buddies purchased 3 16" mono rtr's from RCWorldWide on Ebay . For about a month we have had problem free running . Then today .... 2 of the 3 boats started glitching badly to the point that 1 boat took off by it's self and beached it's self on the oposite shore of the creek . i realise that the radios that these boats came with are cheap ... But why all of a sudden ? The only thing i can think of contributing to this is that the same 2 boats stuffed pretty badly and were submerged for about 5-10 seconds ...... Can the radios and recievers come "unbound" ? There is no instructios with this system on how to "rebind" it . Any insite or ideas ?

RE: 2.4Ghz Glitching
i have that mini mono but in red and put 27mhz radio in it, the only thing i can think of is re-binding, if you have the bind plug (disconecct the motor leads and servo)
1- put it in the bind port 2- connect battery to the esc 3- switch on transmitter 4- if it has a bind button then press it 5- once all lights are steady remove bind plug immediatly |
RE: 2.4Ghz Glitching
Was there water in the boats after they were submerged and recovered? Even a few drops on an unwaterproofed rx or esc can cause exactly what you are describing. I know because I've had it happen to me exactly as you describe. Now I waterproof everything before ever running it.

RE: 2.4Ghz Glitching
There was a little water in there . But the reciever is in a balloon , there is a sponge and the ESC is suposed to be waterproof . It is a Turnigy 35Amp unit as the one it came with smoked when i tried a different prop .
