RE: super vee 27
oh man, you should get some bigger batteries ;)

RE: super vee 27
i have the same problem when i go strait the boat wants to turn to the right kinda hard and im working on it and if i ajust the steering trim to go strain no watergets in the pickup

RE: super vee 27
You should use full throttle to take off regardless. Surface drives need to produce alot of thrust to get the boat on plane. Ive never heard of anyone having success with that small of battries. Better bats will help but not if you are trying to plane at part throttle. If you use a big diameter 2 blade like a 642 octura or a CF45 plastic prop you will come out of the hole much better but they are harder on your batts.

RE: super vee 27
He definitely needs batteries that are capable of delivering the amperage that brushless demands. Where did you find NiMH packs that were 1600??? I can't really even think of NiCd cells that sold on the market at 1600 mAh

RE: super vee 27
I think you can even get 1200mah packs still

RE: super vee 27
here are a couple options, open up the stock rudder with a file (which i think weakens it), ditch the stock rudder and use a transom pick up ( much better water flow), as for getting your trim strait, are you familiar with prop modding at all? sounds like you need to spoon out the tips of your blades a bit so that the thrust is directed in a more concentrated cone, I use to have that problem with one of the bigger props i ran in the past

RE: super vee 27
I used to use a second pick up for cooling but for me I found that using a point file in the stock rudder pickup works best.. much better cooling and it does not cost anything, also less drag
