Hello to all,

as anticipated, here is the beginning of my Apache build. A lot of pictures, hope this is of interest!

Here is Mart's Waverider Apache hull, completely reinforced with a layer of carbon inside (two at the back).
This is a very nice and solid hull, that I would buy again for sure.
Some minor aesthetic issues, but easely corrected. This hull is made by hand, and has a soul of its own!

Hi JP,
was looking at your friends boat the AMG and was thinking how about making your hatch so its hinged and have some kind of mechanism that will hold it in the upright positon just lik the real one.I remember seeing this on a model before and it looked cool, just an idea hope you dont mind me making suggestions .Its great to see someone building a scale Apache for a change.

Looks great,
How much were the drives???

sent you a pm, I have the decals for the logo, scale guages, and also real scale vents, window frames,

where can I get couplers to take some single big bore RCMKs and make my own inlines, I have a Hydro lift Hull, my RCMKinlines will not fit in the sponson, and I want to have quads in this scale build.

you cant beat Mr Park, and RCMK

The rcmk 520 is smaller than two motors joined together at only 8 1/4" long and at $638 its probably cheaper than two engines at $279 each plus any coupler youd need also.

If you already have the single motors, and need to join them, maybe you will be interested in these people's work: http://sonicracingaustralia.com/enginemounts.htm
Mart pointed them out to me.

Mart,
I do like your suggestions, and please keep them coming!
The idea of opening the hatch up from the back is interesting, but the system should permit quick release too, in order to enable me to work in the boat...
Will put my thinking cap on this and see what comes up.

At the moment I am trying to study amechanism that should enable me to servo-trim the new RCMK Arneson drives...

No problem: that measure is 168mm.

PLEASE NOTE that the alloy housing for the coil packs is lower than that part, so you will need the clearance that I stated before for this motor.
Here are a couple of pics, hope they show this clearly:

Hi there,

today I finally received my props from PropShop UK.

They are two couples, one of 6518/3, the other 6717/3, all in Stainless Steel.

Here are the pics:

All the Propshop props are supposed to be balanced and sharpened. Look good to me, but have not tested them yet

The drives are now in production, still not for sale. Should be ready in December to the public.
Here are some pics of them, in early development: http://imageevent.com/justaddwata/morerc/info/rcmkdrive

- Yes RC Guy, I hope they will come in the given times...
