Default New power plant In-Line Dominator 58 CC Engine for the 64F Fountain Of Dreams.

The following links are the break-in period of the new power plant In-Line Dominator 58 CC Engine from Performance Unlimited Products for the 64F Fountain Of Dreams. The engine performed well but has yet to be tuned. It is definitely moving the boat much better and faster which has already passed the 40 MPH of its predecessor power plant. My target speed is 50 MPH on this engine, anything above is icing on the cake. The carb settings were not changed on both runs, only the props were switched for comparative testing on hook up and speed. Both props seems to top at the same speed except the X467 gets it there faster. Tuning the carbs will be my priority for the next few runs.

well done it's really running well why did you not use the e starter on this motor like you did on the M6twinline?

Looks to be running well. Be mindful of your poor clutch when your on and off the throttle - can be torture for a clutch.

Great work!! Keep the videos coming

The boat looks and runs great. She looks like she is running a bit wet though. Have you tried using your trim tabs? I would think with your new power you wouldnt have any problems making it fly. I think if you could get it to loosen up a bit you could pick up some top end speed.

think it looks asif it was running wet because as he stated in the vid he wasnt going to push it much seeing as he was still breaking it in

I was talking about the second video. He stated he was at full throttle several times. This is one sweet boat and I am not knocking it or the performance at all. Just looked to me that at full throttle a lot of the boat was still in the water. I think a lot of things have to be just perfect to get a big boat like that to move.

You are both right but I did say also thatits the power plant's maiden run hence to quote myself, "The carb settings were not changed on both runs, only the props were switched for comparative testing on hook up and speed. Both props seems to top at the same speed except the X467 gets it there faster. Tuning the carbs will be my priority for the next few runs."

The boat runs wet for two reasons;
-carbs still needs tuning
-I set my boats wet (when tuned) at maximum speed so that it will ride perfect and not flighty when I am playing with other people on rough water or when I go over my on wake.

It will ride well like my Rio 51 when I`m done with it.

Matt,
I have switched the clutch shoes backwards from last years experiences with the V3 M6 TWINLINE. It does not slip anymore like it it did last year. The shoes hook up much faster and more positive when set backwards on its mounting block.. I have done the same on my RIO 51 and FIGHTER.
