Yes man, those trims are amazing, where do you get them? Congrats for the paintjob.
Is that a special or modified apache hull? not seem a standard one, good work

Thank you. The hull is a standard Aeromarine Apache 50. Custom paint was done by Doug from Overpsprayer.com - he has a thread here that shows his phenomenal work. The trim tabs are from Arrow Shark - the're not cheap but they are friggin sweet.

Nice boat. Is that radio box from zippkits? If so, are you goin glue the nuts on? I have the same box and I'm trying figure out what type of glue would hold metal to plastic. I may try epoxy and thin cloth???

Aww crap - I was wondering about how the nuts were going to stay in there. I wonder if CA glue would be best.

Ever seen those bottle mounts you get for mountain bikes? you can glass one of those in for the tank as theyre only modified drinks bottles .

Made some progress on the radio box. It didnt come with a tray so I had to make one from a piece of plexi glass. Notice the battery meter is mounted under the tray to give a nice clean look. I went with gloss black paint but I plan on making another tray and using a different color.

Speedmaster makes billet trim tabs. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ros-billet-tab
Nice looking hull by the way. I added some tabs on my radio box so I can screw into my hull /threaded inserts. radio box is removable I added a piece of thin ribber under the tabs to hold any loose screw from coming out. And I won't loose any screws as I pull my radio box.

This is what I mean. underneath the tab is a piece of thin rubber sandwiched between the tab and the stringer. They hold the screws from falling out when I remove my box. or placing the box into my hull. And the stringers have threaded inserts added into the new wood piece of stock You need to use resin as glue. I make the tab & wooded stock together as I want my 3 drill holes to line up. The I add a piece of aluminum foil to separate the 2 pieces of wood ,all resin in at once. got it
It's OK to add a lite fiberglass cloth to the tab and box during construction sand out after.

Ok now I got it - thanks for posting. You gave me an idea that I will want to try to get a similar setup.

Getting down to the wire. All that remains is throttle and rudder linkage setup and exhaust tips. Hoping to have her done over the weekend.

Water lines run from rudder
