Hi I built a zip kits easy v a few months ago that is my first real boat and I had plans to put a ryobi 31cc in it that I already have, I know it wouldnt be a speed demon or anything but Thats not what im looking for. Anyways now I want to finish it and the only way the engine will fit very well is if I take the pull start off and the housing it bolts to but then I have no way to start it so how would you guys go about starting and mounting it?

If it's a height thing, stick the engine on it's side then the radio equipment on the side opposite the piston to help balance it out, move the pull start bushing to where it needs to be for your new placement. Or just leave it how it is and start removing plastic until things fit, it doesn't need all of the housing that's there, remember it was meant to support the engine from the front nose for weedeating, you don't need anywhere that amount of structure just keep the fan shroud part fairly intact so the engine cools
