Set the engine in the boat using a piece of double-walled cardboard. It will then naturally find its own angle..

Ron, can you expand on this. Been a couple decades since running the boat. Not exactly sure how this should be done. Thanks Ken

It's pretty simple. Use the corrugated cardboard so that the flutes run the length of the hull then set the engine in there. That will set the engine at the angle you need and give you some gap to give room for vibration. The angle is something like 17 degrees.
