rudder question
Is it normal to have movement on the rudder shaft? I know left to right is normal.
Mine seems to be slack in the shaft ......does not fall out just seems shakey

What type rudder system do you use? Most rudders now days are bolted to bearing blocks at the end of the rudder stand-off bracket. Only movement we get there is from front to back which is very, very minimal and also helps us as a minor trim option when cornering.

No thats not normal,id change it and while your at it get a rudder with a standoff bracket to put it further back so its further back behind the prop.Doesnt have to be as far back as this one but you get the idea, gives better turns.
