MATHE 35 Does anyone use it? in which boats?
#1

Hello everyone!
I would like to repeat as much information as possible about MATHE engines. In particular on the 35cc "CASA".I personally know the engineer Mangiacavalli, a good and helpful person. The engines are produced near Como, Italy.
I would like information on which boats have been mounted, propellers, performance and more from those who use them.
Thanks to everyone!

I have a few of the older VHP design and a Mathe 70 (also of the older style). Only 35 I have installed presently is in an Outrigger style hull. Believe the Prop used was a 2918/2 ABC prop.
The Mathe 70 is running a gearbox and a pair of stern drives. It is in an incomplete project in a 65" GTX. I have basically scrapped plans for that project due to weight issues however.
I had additional plans to use a pair of new Mathe 70 motors in a 96" fountain I have however the US dealer does not seem to want my business - no response to inquiries on price or availability unfortunately. This hull currently has a pair of CMB35 RS motors.

The engines are heavy but very resistant and powerful. If you need this is the direct email of the Italian manufacturer, always reply within 12 hours.

Unfortunately in the USA no one runs or races FSR-V class boats. Only in europe I believe. In the US surface drive is most popular.
50mph is an ambitious speed as it appears a heavy boat. It may be possible however FSR-V boaters may give a more accurate expectation based on such a drive.

The FSR-V 35cc hulls usually weigh 11kg and arrive at around 55 mph.
The propulsion is in line of rigids under the hull. The props is different

In Europe the Offshore or Duration (V) categories are both very popular ... I didn't know that in America it was less!

I am currently doing water testing with an older model sr 35 in a 72" mono, tried 3 blade prop, just cavitation, then tried an octura x482, shows great potential !!
when i started this build, i used 2 gzr 30+ engines, had turning issues as both props rotate left.
seems like this set up is good with the mathe, may later look into the stg 1 or stg mods for it.
