Hello Fellow Board members, I'm new to this great hobby I started out with a used 15 year old enforcer gator moved up to a new Man O War (BTW I'm selling the man o war soon). I now have a MHZ Ocean Spray with a MHZ Z drive running a Zenoah 26

Not yet, she's not here yet waiting for shipment from Germany I was just a little anxious and I wanted to show you guys some pictures. I should get her in a weeks time until then I will show you some pictures of the engine compartment with the engine it has now. I bought it without the engine so I am going to get a new Zenoah 26 from True Position in Ft Laud. I was lucky to get it the previous owner only ran it for 4 hours and he discover he likes cat more so he sold it to me for a Great price less the engine (it will end up costing me less than my man o war)

I am thinking about putting some MTC trim tabs on it when it arrives, I was told that the Z drive will make it ride nose high. But the major reason I bought it is the fact it has a MHZ hull and the Z drive.

Nice shots ...
I was wondering if by chance , you have any side views of the drive setup ? Reason for my asking ----- in both pics where the drive is shown ( second pic , not all that clear though ) , it looks like the drive has a negative angle to it ... ( for possibly trying to lower the nose ) ... If this does , and she STILL rides nose high ... there is other things you need to check ( like CG for starts ) . Trim tabs will work in correcting this , but ... you will also have a loss of speed .
If you don't have any pics of the hulls sideview with the drive , then when you get it , you might want to check to make sure that what I think I am seeing , is not so ...
Otherwise ... best of luck to ya with her .....

I was also concerned about that, the gas tank is on the side but from seeing how most of them place it that way in Germany I thought it might not bother it

To get my stainless steel props shiny I first sanded it with 200 grit sand paper, then I sanded it with 400 grit, then I went over that with a wire wheel on a dremel tool. Then the final step I used some polish on a mini buffer for a dremel. I am shure there is other ways to do it.

My one and only boat is the 1/8 scale Miss Bud by Pro Boats. I took it out for the first time this morning (3/28) and the boat ran real nice. Shes a little light at the nose but some weight should fix that. I would guess she was running around 35 mph but once I get the CG figured out that speed will come up.

Hey Wingedoutlaw,
Hey your boat looks just like the one that I just finished. Looks like the same shaft setup and engine mounts in the same as mine. I bought mine from a local moddler, but I wasnt able to obtain any info. Can you give me a lil info on your boat,..such as manufacturer etc,.... also can you give me a little info on that 75cc Hornet engine? Mine has a 52cc water cooled Quadra. I went out today and ran mine for the 1st time but was cut short when my drive belt broke. Now im trying to hunt down a belt. Mine ran good,....... but The thought of that 75cc engine sure raises my eyebrows. Thanks for any info.
Thanks,
FUZZ

Hello: Im thinking of getting a WHH Manta-ray or Magum 57. Can you comment on the quality of WHH boats. Also if you could please comment on these.
Changes:
WHH wet tuned exhaust.... too loud
Does this mean that the WHH wet pipe is loud or you went to it because tha can muffler was to loud, Can you comment on how loud the wet pipe is? Also in a close up picture that shows the clucth and such is that a 4 point mount? if so by who please. Thankyou

Where can I get a cooper pipe and how much quieter is it? I'm asking because my neighbors where I run the boat are starting to complain so i would like to get it as quiet as I can. Right now I have the can exhaust.

very effective mufflers can be made for a few $$'s i use the small inline lawn mower muffler off my tuned pipes my pipes are inside the hulls and the muffler is independent mounted not hangin off the pipe rt now im at 88bd's its very nonoffensive no louder than a weedeater., just braze a 1/2" copper fitting on the ends, use heater hose to connect and run some water in there to keep the hose cool.

Larry , show the pics of those Oregon "long horns" you made . ( very ingenious I might add )
FASTRAT tinkered with the idea and came up with that winner .
And .... if anyone is interested , I duplicated what FASTRAT did and yes , indeed , a LOT quieter ! ( sorry , don;t have a DB meter ) AND , no more worries about the muffler falling off the stinger of your tuned pipe and becoming part of the Davy Jones locker collection .

the photo of the purple boat is my crackerbox with an australian pipe there wasnt suffecient room to go back with the pipe so it went forward under the deck. the muffler setup has been changed a little, it now sports a regular lawnmower muffler which exits out the side with a short stub pipe and my engine water exits out the muffler to keep things a little cooler.
this is very quiet somewhere in the mid 80db range about the same as a stock weedeater
