Like yamablaster said, its work.
I must do mine the hard way[
]
I'll take a new prop & dry sand with 320 cloth. Once you do that you'll see all the little pits underneath the grey.
Work the places out.... usualy takes a few hours for an SS prop.
Once those places are done, it'll get sharpened with the files and balanced.
After balancing, then go back with the 320 and rub all the file marks out & balance again.
Then take some 1000 & 1500 wet paper cut into small squares. I like to let the sink barely drip while taking the paper and dipping it in a dishwashing soap mixture. That brings the shine out. Try not to cut your fingers.
Balance again.
It should remain close, but if any needs to come off, you can take it off the trailing edge.
Then a final buff with the Dremel & some polishing rouge.
Maybe I've been doing it the hard way, but I love the SS props because they're not so toxic & have a good shine.
