Off all the info I've read on props, it has always been said that all the blades are to be the same and to check this, make a mold then compare the blades. I purchased an MW3 prop, after reading all the raves about it, tried it on 3 different boats with different motors, from a mod 230 to a trick 27cc, and was not at all impressed. I did notice one of the blades was "bent", for lack of a better term, more (rake?) than the other. I just read on Jim's board that on that particular prop, the blades are suppose to be different. So, before I make a clay mold and make them the same, can any of you prop gurus coment on this matter?

Not impressed? How big is your boat? What hull?If its a larger heavier hull a small diameter prop like that may not have enough push. The smaller the prop diameter the more important it is to have the height of the drive or strut in the correct spot.Too much blade out of the water and slip goes up.
Sharpen and balance prop (if its not already done),check the centerline height of drive.
Not every prop is going to work on every boat, some props work better than others on a given hull.Check to see what hull guys sucessfully running a particular prop are using.

48"Challanger with a 1st stage mod. WHH water cooled pipe. Will do 48 mph with an Octura 480 prop, boat weighs 15 lb. The cat is a 58 " w/a G260, 20 lb and does 44 with the 275, QD 1/2" cut pipe. The 57" Apache is 20 lb, with a Sikk 27cc that I converted to water cooled and so far does 35 with the 275. Have not broken it in all the way. The 260 and the Sikk have an 175 exhaust timing and want to keep the low end torque to push the 20 lb. boats. the Sikk turns the prop, but out of the hole, the prop cavitates a while before it bites the water. I have tried various depth settings, but so far have not found the optimum trim to make the MW3 happy. Will keep trying, but will first ditch the 644 carb and will run a 257 on them.

MW3 is a fair prop to swing without a few mods to unload it a bit on a high exhaust timed motor.
Out of all the props I have P275 7015 470/3 and MW3, the MW3 is the fastest prop I have by the GPS, it looks slower and has lower RPM this is on both a mono and cat, looks and sounds can be deceiving without a way to test accurately.
And yes the blades are different, variable pitch.
