Run it and see... If the boat does need them you could bondo a hook on the bottom at the very back of the boat. Start big and take the sanding block to the pond, When its done, paint over to seal and no tabs needed.

I'm not sure I would put a hook on the bottom. This could cause other attitude and handling problems, and would be using straight resistance to adjust the ride attitude.

Trim tabs "fool" the boat into thinking its longer than it is, and with slight adjustment, can be useful in circle racing, and adjusting attitude in different water conditions, without causing undo resistance.

You say you cant put them on...may I ask why?

well the boat was orignally a 90 size boat, it now has a g23 on it, The stern of the boat is just not big enough for the prop rudder and skage with trim tabs. i was thinking that maybe I could just put smaller ones on there but i would hate drilling into the boat just to find out it dosent work. Thanks Chris

Well, a pretty good substitution to using trim tabs would be to set the rudder and outboard unit of the boat further away from the transom. Depending on which rear end setup you are using you can buy extensions. This will do two things. (1) It moves the prop and rudder farther from the boat, giving them better bite and (2) what you sound like you need, will help keep the bow of the boat down at a more level attitude. If you don't need trim tabs don't add them, they only add drag and slow you down.

Best of luck to you!

If your drive angle is set right and the port and starboard balance set close to right, you shouldn't neet them at all. Tabs are for minor adjustments.
