i recently picked up a 300 cc, 12 horsepower, 15 LB's of torque gas motor, i want to make it into a large r/c boat but not entirly sure how, i want a v-hull and i know how to construct it, i just need to know if anyone has done this befor and could give me a few pointers on what to use as a driveshaft and prop. any help would be great guys, thanks

next is some very large expensive servos lets say 3000 in ounce should suffice for the rudder
two independant onboard radio systems just in case...
start pricing full size outboard hydro props
sharpen your pencil and start designing a custom drive system cuz the 1/4" drive we normally use will get twisted up like a red twizzler licorice .........oh and a rudder too nothing we have is quite big enuff.

I think that rather than RC , you should consider either a go-cart or a small REAL miniature version of an flat-bottom airboat for kicking around in on both the lakes and on snow/ice . ( that way , it'll be fun for ALL seasons - 
OR .... if your into RC planes ... you could try a giant-scale corsair ???? ( just some thoughts )
