Default SIKK 27cc motor, still holding together

So far I have run my Apache 57" with a 27cc SIKK motor through 8 500ml bladder of fuel. SIKK will run almost twice as long on the same volume of fuel than my Zenoahs. Not a hint of failure, loose bolts or even a sputter. I even got it hot enough, inadvertently due to algae in the water that clogged my cooling system, several times to where it quit while wot. I became aware of the cooling problem the second time it quit and noticed the little buggers in the line.

It is still running in the mid 30's and starts on the first or second pull.

I would like to try a CVEC quiet pipe that I read about some time ago on another post, but I can't find any info on the pipe other than for nitro use. I recently saw on ebay a 48' Challenger using the CVEC pipe. I e- mailed the seller re the pipe as to who sells them, but have not got back a reply. Does anyone know if they are currently available and where to purchase?

Thanks Bob.
I've tried that web site before ans seems to be a general merchandise page. Has everything but what the name indicates. Wonder where that seller got that one. Wish he'd respond one way or another. Oh well, products, like Darwin's theory, survival of the fittest must be true. If it's good, it'll sell. Back to my tinkering.

Larry, what kind of load you're putting on the 27cc. I have it mounted in an 57" Apache that weighs 20# and driving an MW3 prop. The motor is close to stock, 175 xhst and 145 intake. I have so much torque on the low end that the prop spins for a while before biting the water. My P275 will not slip like that. I have a WA175 and WHH water cooled pipe. While the boat, judging from the rooster tail, runs better and reaches speeds to where the hull is out of the water too much and chine walks, my best rpm is 14000, But that may be reached when I get air. If I keep it in the water, 13K give and take a few hundreds. I'm thinking about increasing the port timing and giving up on some of the low end torque as it seems to have plenty to begin with. What kind of timing have you played with so far? Without any mods to keep the hull lower and fix the chine walk, it seems that 35 mph is the limit to this hull as set up.

I also have the 29cc that I may place in the Apache, and so far I left the port timing stock. I measured he same port timing as above, that seems to be standard on the Sikk's.

my test cell load is an 11" dia 5" pitch APC plane prop. this prop comes closest to a race boat prop load and the APC is the only prop that can handle that kind of rpm

35? should be in mid 40s
chine walk at 35? sounds strange, a boat that heavy seems it would be riding too deep to chine walk.

Aeromarine Apache? or a copy?
